Get ready for the London 2012 Olympics in just 60 some days with out profiles of some of the biggest names participating in the games.

Last summer, in the United States’ quarterfinal shootout victory over Brazil, U.S Goaltender Hope Solo was no doubt player of the match. She stopped Brazil superstar Marta just enough for the Americans to advance, making her case that she is the best goalie in women’s soccer and the MVP of U.S. Women’s soccer (or football as it may be called in your country)

She also scores points for ditching her douchey, frat boyish club promoter ex-boyfriend. She was WAY under-kicking her coverage on that one. (what a surprise, a gorgeous girl going for a Jersey Shore style dumb-ass who’s ridiculously beneath her) None of us reading this have a chance with Ms. Solo, but it’s still a good thing she jettisoned that dead weight.
