Elisabeth Hasselbeck, wife of ex NFL quarterback and current Extreme Sports Promotional Network analyst Tim Hasselbeck is leaving her talk show “The View” for “Fox and Friends.” (ABC 7 Chicago) She will be a co-host on the Fox News Channel roundtable discussion program. Hasselbeck’s last day on “The View” will be Wednesday, according to ABC. Hasselbeck joined “The View” as a co-host in November 2003.
Hasselbeck has expressed the ultra-devout Christian beliefs of herself, her husband and her brother-in-law, Tennessee Titans QB Matt Hasselbeck on the show many times. It was a hot topic during Tim Tebow mania. Then again the connection between football and the political right wing is longstanding.
Back to the Hasselbeck update, she’ll FIT RIGHT IN on Fox News Channel. Back in March, myself, and other media outlets reported her demise from The View a bit prematurely. I issued a correction.
The extremely photogenic, but also not very bright Hasselbeck is still here after nine years, which really says something. Elisabeth Hasselbeck has ideas and beliefs that are definitely dying out. The number of far right-wing nuts in America are just diminishing.
Congrats Elisabeth Hasselbeck! You have found your true calling. And somehow stay relevant all these years despite lack of talent/ability. Remember, Elisabeth Hasselbeck only got her start because she was first a “reality star” (oxymoron) and the wife of someone famous.
