At the beginning of June, only the most hard core of soccer enthusiasts knew who Hope Solo was, and pretty much no one would have considered Alex Morgan a celebrity. Today, after a magical run to the U.S. Women’s World Cup title game, both are pretty much rockstars. The outspoken goaltender, and the sweet-talking striker became international phenomenons due to their high athletic ability, and extreme hotness.
Back in June, TSB hit the 2,000,000 pageviews mark. Needless to say, we went from 2 mil to 3 mil a HELLUVA lot faster than we went from 1 to 2 million. And as you’ll see below, the “Solo-Morgan Bump” is a major reason why.
So let’s look back at what those two USWNT stars have accomplished this past summer.
Morgan and Solo have replaced Ines Sainz and Jenn Sterger as our all-time #1 and #2 search terms generating traffic. I consider that a HUGE step up for the credibility for this site. Now we have actual athletes in those slots, not “journalists” known mostly for dressing slutty in pubic. Whoops I meant to say public.

It was a magical three months, we broke daily traffic records, and then broke them again 3-4 more times. We Shattered weekly records and more than doubled the monthly record. And we’re just getting started. We’re going to keep this momentum rolling.
