Christian Hackenberg is the best passer in the Big Ten. Now with Braxton Miller out for the season, Christian Hackenberg is now the best quarterback in the conference.
Sure, he doesn’t have Bill O’Brien and Allen Robinson to work with this year, but he’s also a year more developed and mature. It will be interesting to see how he adjusts to the new system under James Franklin; which incorporate the tight ends in the passing game to a more significant role.
Here to predict and project the 2014 season for Penn State and Hackenberg is Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler.
I was on their college football media conference call today, and here’s what they had to say in regards to the topics that interest Nittany Nation. Obviously, topic one is how the program adjusts to the new Frankin regime.
Herbstreit sees two of the first three games (Dublin, Rutgers) as “not a lay-up.” He also sees Hackenberg as a future NFL signal caller. Which is something we detailed in a previous piece. It was actually the most popular PSU article in the entire history of this site, and it also originated off an ESPN conference call more than a year ago.
It’s here: Mel Kiper Jr. getting into the nitty gritty of Christian Hackenberg NFL Draft stock.
