For a couple weeks in August, during the London 2012 Summer Olympiad, was all about Olympic Gold Medalist Kerri Walsh-Jennings and Misty May-Treanor, and also about Silver Medalists Jen Kessy and April Ross. Now it’s just Kerri Walsh-Jennings and April Ross.
Their were trending on Twitter then, then trended again when they played this week, they will be trending again when you see them in action tonight. You all stopped caring about the sport for four years. Now you’re back to being interested again. Then after the Rio Olympics are over, you can then return to not caring about beach volleyball.
Here in this post, we profile one half of that team, Kerri Walsh-Jennings. (We covered April Ross over at this link) Enjoy! Kerri Walsh-Jennings and teammate Misty May-Treanor were the gold medalists in beach volleyball at the 2004 and 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
Given their amazing three-peat, they have been called “the greatest beach volleyball team of all time.”
