With her game-winning goal, 23-year-old Alex Morgan became the youngest player to score 20 goals in one year for the U.S Women’s National soccer team.The young striker scored her first goal since netting two in the opening game of pool play versus France. The prolific scorer ended her drought tonight as the U.S. edged Canada 4-3 in extra time.
Morgan has propelled the USWNT into the Gold Medal Game, where they will take on their rival Japan in a rematch of last year’s World Cup.
