Brian Kelly appeared at the opening of the Under Armour brand house on Michigan Avenue in Chicago last night, and spoke with the media members for a few minutes. Notre Dame is of course is a UA school now and a handful of Athletic Department members, including Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick made the trip.
Kelly wore the same famous blazer that he’s pictured in here.
One topic that came up is the idea of moving up National Signing Day, something the Notre Dame Coach has previously stated that he’s strongly in favor of.
“I think that’s almost a fait accompli,” said Brian Kelly.
“That’s gonna happen. I would like to see a signing day sometime in December where we can have those kids have enough time so if it’s not what they want, they can get out of that commitment. I don’t want an August or September signing date; I think December is the right time.”
“It helps for us to help in so many fashions; for us to recruit in June, get kids that are committed and want to be in that place off the books, and then focus on the guys that are not sure.”
Also, Brian Kelly gave us more details on the Blue & Gold Game; so go here to read up on that.
