NASCAR driver and promotional tour de force Danica Patrick appeared on The Colbert Report last night. Stephen Colbert, a Northwestern grad and America’s famous fake news man introduced Danica to The Colbert Report crowd by saying:
“she won pole position at the Daytona 500; I didn’t know they’ve been running that race for 500 years.”
Stephen Colbert asked Danica Patrick to clue him in on “the finer points of the NASCAR.” He concluded by saying she was going to “get the Colbert bump.” As if she needs it, but hey “THIS is the Colbert Report.” Even better, was what Comedy Central did following The Colbert Report: they played the NASCAR episode of “South Park.” Well done gentlemen, well done.
TONITE!: My guest is superstar NASCAR driver @danicapatrick. I wonder if she can teach me how to parallel park. @colbertnation, 11:30pm
