At least Olivia Wilde has her heart in the right place. She seems to think that the Washington D.C. NFL team has already changed their name. Wishful thinking, and I agree with her, but maybe she should try paying attention to the news. Instead of just being aware that something called the news exists.
From the Olivia Wilde Twitter feed:
Glad to hear my hometown DC has now decided to change the name of their football team, after I spent my childhood cheering a racial slur.

I guess Olivia Wilde has mistaken the clamor of fans, media, social progressives and the NFL punditocracy to change the team name as news of a name change. Olivia Wilde obviously seems aware of the debate to change the football team’s name, and has such a cursory, 101 level interest that she believes it’s already happened.
When in reality it’s been quite the opposite. D.C. NFL team Daniel Snyder just released a letter yesterday that he is more firmly entrenched than ever about he will never change the team name.
Still don’t agree with the stance of Olivia Wilde, read this history lesson.
