Kathryn Tappen will co-host “Super Bowl Zone” along with Carolyn Manno. Here are some of the key segments that will comprise “Super Bowl Zone”:
Kathryn Tappen visits SuperFoos2015, a unique life-sized foosball rink in downtown Phoenix that allows people to participate as foosball players.
- NBC Sports’ popular figure skating analysts Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski will visit Rawhide Western Town, an 1880s Wild West theme park in Phoenix, for an authentic Old West experience;
- Carolyn Manno will bring viewers inside the cockpit of an F-16 for a first-hand look at the traditional Super Bowl pre-game flyover;.
Kathryn Tappen also works for NHL Network. The New Jersey native came to the network from NESN,a network owned and controlled by local teams. At New England Sports Network, where she served as NESN’s studio host for Boston Bruins games and as a lead anchor for SportsDesk.
Tappen left NESN in 2011 to join the NHLN. You also know Kathryn Tappen as the sideline presence who replaced Alex Flanagan at Notre Dame home games. It should also be noted that Flanagan did not leave that gig on her own accord.
Side note, Kathryn Tappen was an Academic-All American at Rutgers University where she was a member of the Scarlet Knights cross country and track and field team.
She is also a six-time varsity letter-winner, Academic All American, Big East Academic All Star, and former record holder in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Should be a really interesting segment for Kathryn Tappen, the life-size human foosball table. Sounds fascinating.
