Hello friends.
Jim Nantz and Phil Simms, the lead announce team will call Sunday’s season opener between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Chicago Bears. As CBS is the AFC carrier, they don’t get to see the Bears very often. But that could change this year:
“I’m just delighted that we’re going to be in Chicago. Our group did not get a Bears game last year, and I think they’ll be on tap for both of the crossover games this year. Baltimore plays in Chicago in November, so I love going back to Soldier Field,” Jim Nantz said.
“This game certainly has a supply of storylines, with Coach Trestman making his debut and Cincinnati coming into a season with high expectations, when was the last time you could say that?” Jim Nantz said.
By the way, here’s the exclusive I had with Jim Nantz when he told me about how he single-handedly (well, Pat Sullivan had a hand in it too) saved “One Shining Moment” from being cut.
