Old Spice and the Green Bay Packers Greg Jennings issue fantasy coupons

For some fans, it’s been rather frustrating to see all those Greg Jennings Old Spice commercials and not see the star receiver on the football field.

Due to a variety of injuries, it’s been since September 30th since Jennings saw live action for the Green Bay Packers.

With his expected return to the gridiron this weekend against the Minnesota Vikings, Old Spice’s official facebook page issued fantasy football coupons in honor of Jennings.

It may be a bit too late as many fantasy players are starting their league playoffs and if you drafted Jennings there’s a good chance you’re not taking part in the playoffs. He played in only three games and has 12 receptions for 78 yards and one touchdown.

However, Old Spice is trying to make amends by offering a fantasy coupon “good for 17 fantasy touchdowns.” Not sure where they get the number 17 as Jennings has recorded only season-highs of 12 touchdowns in 2007 and 2010.

For his loyal fans and fantasy owners, Jennings conveys the message “I’m sorry and I love you.”

Old Spice accompanied the photo with a message which stated:

“It’s amazing what happens when you believe in your smellf. For Greg Jennings it means apologies in the form of a fantasy coupon, all you fanatics redeem away.”

Joking aside, Jennings could be a solid play this season considering his past success against the Vikings. In his last five games against the purple, he has 30 catches for 486 yards and seven touchdowns.

How can you argue against those stats and everyone loves a coupon right?

What did you think of Old Spice’s move with the coupon? Did you find it as funny as I did? Let me know by commenting below.
