Cincinnati Bengals look to stay in playoff hunt this Thursday

Things are not looking good for the Cincinnati Bengals after a tough loss to the Dallas Cowboys this past week in Cincy.  With that loss, they put themselves on the playoffs bubble.  While they have a relatively easy game against a struggling Eagles team this week, they will need to stay focused and not make any unneeded mistakes on the day.

One of the main things the Bengals need to stay focused on in this game is their offense.  While they had a huge couple of weeks that saw Andy Dalton repeatedly hook up with AJ Green for big plays,  this was not the case when they took on Dallas.  Dalton only threw for 206 yards and got into the end zone just once.  Add to that the fact that he threw a huge interception that led to a Dallas touchdown and you have a  potential problem with the team going forward.  They need to calm down with their play calling and get some more running plays in the mix.  They have a great back in Benjarvus Green Ellis who could provide them with some big plays down the field.  All in all, they need to open up their offense a bit if they want to become the kind of team that can go deep into the playoffs this year and many more to come.

When it comes to the NFL odds on the game, the Bengals have been put at a -3 points spread.  They have the talent around them to beat the Eagles by more than three points but need to utilize them to the best of their abilities.  If not, they may be handed yet another loss.
