Sorry Bill, there's no way Cunningham slides to the fourth round. Even with a bad combine he's a top 90 pick.

thanks for the insight about the new OL coach. that's a very useful nugget/tidbit of information.

what do you think about Odrick as a DT prospect instead of End? Tackle was his college position

Thanks Frank!

I admit I really should try and keep up with the Niners more, but it's hard hear in the Midwest. even though the mainstream media still obsess about the '85 Bears, they never say anything of substance about Singeltary and company. What drafting "style" if you could use those words does the Niners GM usually employ? need-based or value

I've seen Bulaga SHOOTING up the boards in a lot of mock drafts lately. I might have to move him into the top 15, but the combine starts in 8 days, and soon there will be lots of changes

I guess nobody drafts strictly at the return specialist position anymore. I think each new prospect has to prove his salt as a WR or CB or elsewhere first. How about Javier Arenas? he could fill both return and secondary needs

Paul/Peter,

Very interesting website...LOL. I'm a Niner diehard...and I've got some alternative picks for yas. Agree, Singletary won't leave this 1st rd without getting his new RT. However, if Trent Williams is off the board I think he'll go with Bulaga. Rationale is new OL Coach Mike Solari favors lighter, more agile OL. So, I expect him to sell that to Singletary. With the 2nd first-rounder, I have no problem with a DE...I just believe if Coach goes that route, it'd be Jared Odrick, instead. Odrick would be a huge DE in Singletary's 3-4...and would make for quite a bookend to stud Justin Smith. Coach could also go CB...Warren, Perrish Cox, maybe even Kyle Wilson. Or, he could go Spiller, if he's still around. Outside of improving his OL, his next highest priority's upgrading his KR game. Spiller would do that, and add some much-needed speed to the backfield. I'd envision OC Jimmy Raye using him much like the Vikes employ Percy Harvin.
