If only I lived in New York City, I could have met/interviewed Gisele Bundchen, UNEP Ambassador and wife of New England Patriots QB Tom Brady.
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is set to present the UN’s highest environmental accolade, the Champions of the Earth award.

US-based technology giant Google Earth and Geographic Information System (GIS) pioneer, Jack Dangermond, are among this year’s laureates.

The prize is awarded annually by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) to leaders from government, civil society and the private sector.

Other 2013 winners include: Janez Potoènik, EU Environment Commissioner; Carlo Petrini, the founder of the Slow Food Movement; Izabella Teixeira, Minister of Environment, Brazil; Veerabhadran Ramanathan, Professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UCSD and Martha Isabel Ruiz Corzo from the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve in Mexico.

UNEP Goodwill Ambassador, Gisele Bundchen will present the awards at a ceremony held at the Museum of Natural History in New York Thursday September 18th.  It’s too bad it isn’t in Chicago; so that I can go to the press conference and media event and finally meet Gisele Bundchen.
