Derrick Rose returning? Not returning? DON’T CARE!!!

If you work for a media outlet and you’re running a “will he or won’t he play” Derrick Rose story right now…just go and punch yourself right in the face, so that I don’t have to find you, and do it for you! In fact this week, if you’ve published a “will Derrick Rose return or not return” for the NBA Playoffs versus the Miami Heat story…then I pity you, because I have no idea how you even got this far in life.

You should have your media credentials revoked, your station shut down, your newspaper de-circulated and your web server unplugged.

NEWSFLASH YOU STUPID IDIOTS

This story has been overdone and nothing’s going to change this season.

DOUBLE NEWSFLASH

Derrick Rose, Reggie Rose and the Chicago Bulls organization have contributed to creating this detestable situation we find ourselves in. (Obviously, we CC Rebecca Martinson in these opening paragraphs)

I wrote back on March 18th, that

Even Derrick Rose is sick of the Derrick Rose comeback talk. Unless Derrick Rose is in fact the biggest solipsist since the Roman Emperor Constantine, he MUST be sick of Derrick Rose talk. I know I am, most of the media is. And from the sentiment expressed in the message boards, nearly all the fans, and Chicago in general is sick of this as well.

Now it’s May 14th, and we’re still listening to this garbage.

NO ONE CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Derrick Rose coming back for the next game in series? DONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN’T  CARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE

Is Derrick Rose not returning? DONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNTTTT CARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE

In my exclusive with ABC 7’s Mark Giangreco on April 30th, he summed the Derrick Rose situation up nicely:

As far as Derrick Rose goes, it’s gotten really crazy, to the point where people are really questioning his courage and his toughness. He’s very much influenced by his brother, who is essentially his father, I get that. There are too many people in play, his agent B.J. Armstrong and the other side, Bulls management. I think it was poorly handled by both sides.

I think in February they should have just come out and said he’s not playing the rest of the year, end of story.

And to perpetuate this, and Adidas accused of orchestrating this, it just got so out of hand. Now we’re at the point of don’t even think of coming back, don’t even entertain coming back against the Heat. What does it get you?

They’re not going to beat the Heat with him.

I don’t think he should come back at this point. And it’s really crazy that a hometown kid from Englewood who was so revered and appreciated, he’s still a very naive kid. And for him to now be called a coward, and not tough, and here’s Kirk, and there’s Joakim out on one leg, it’s really gotten away from him. And I blame both camps.
