Bulls trade Kyle Korver to Atlanta Hawks

Will the Chicago Bulls lineup have less “hot sauce” and more sour cream next season? It was expected that sharpshooter Kyle Korver would be dealt out of Chicago this year.

Pending a physical, the Bulls traded two guard Kyle Korver to the Atlanta Hawks Friday, according to the Chicago Tribune’s K.C. Johnson.

The Trib scribe reports that the trade “is via Minnesota into Atlanta’s traded player exception” meaning the Bulls will receive a second-round pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On Sunday the Bulls have a decision on whether or not to pick up the $5 million option on his deal. Or they could pay half a million to buy him out. This trade will save them the buyout money. The Hawks recently cleared out a ton of cap space, and will be looking to add personnel.
