With the San Francisco Giants back in the World Series, time to dust off one of our favorite sports jokes. Tim Lincecum is the only guy on the Giants roster who has not played this postseason. Still relevant though.
“Dazed & Confused” has absolutely no plot, but it’s still one of the most relevant teen comedies of all time. It lives up to the hype that another plotless teen comedy, “Napoleon Dynamite” receives. The entire film takes place in Austin, Texas on May 28th, 1976.
Anyways, Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum shares a lot of characteristics with Mitch Kramer, who is technically “the main character” in Dazed and Confused.
Although I’m nowhere near the first to make this observation, or even the 101st, I’ve been stating it since at least 2003, and I got A LOT of comedic mileage out of it when Lincecum got busted for weed possession. After all weed is what that movie was all about. And Tim Lincecum pitches and lives in the perfect place for that. Not to mention that both Lincecum and Kramer are known for sometimes putting in dominating pitching performances.
