I run a Midwest sports site, so watching the Central Division champions get their asses handed to them every year in October does nothing for my business, and New York Yankees versus Boston Red Sox in the ALCS is BORING! Having the wild card ALWAYS come out of the AL East is TIRED AND PREDICTABLE!
YAWN.
So I did not cry a tear when the Red Sox had their epic collapse and got eliminated. And that’s why this passage is awesome.
NESN‘s Heidi Watney was a guest last week on Karlson and McKenzie on WZLX, and she said that while the Sox are certainly upset, they players haven’t lost all hope.
“The guys in the clubhouse actually were in decent spirits [Tuesday],” Watney said. “They were pissed off after the game, but they’ve been kind of solemn lately. Kind of quiet in the clubhouse.”
Pretty awesome isn’t?
- By the way, this video is hilarious. The kid is doing what he all would do if we were that close to NESN’s Heidi Watney. Now that we’re fully in the era of sports television stations hiring masturbation fodder to do their sideline reporting, we’ll see lots more videos like this- and snarky blog posts about them. Here’s more examples of Heidi Watney hotness:
