I just read Helter Skelter so I'm on a big Manson kick. Coincidentally, Marilyn Manson played at the club across the street the other night.

I actually went to ESPN standings and just plugged in the dates I wanted to see.

Nice Charlie Manson reference. ha ha. Where do you get your info about who was in first and by how many games at this date last year and 08?

the trading deadline expenditures is a very important and very overlooked stat

The Tigers may go down as the worst divisional champ in baseball. Their success is baffling. Not that I'm complaining but when they go on a five-game losing streak in the final month of the season and can't beat the last place team in the division, I'm not surprised.

And why is Eddie Bonine (0-0-, 6.11 ERA toeing the freaking rubber tonight?!)

But the Tigers probably won't last too long in the postseason if they make it. And I say if because they've been playing like crap lately.

*shameless plug* Dave and I will have an exchange on the Tigers tomorrow about Detroit's postseason hopes.
