The 2013 Michigan Wolverines accomplished a pretty amazing feat. All five starters from the unit that lost to Louisville in the 2013 National Title game has now been drafted. It’s pretty rare for a non Kentucky Wildcats college basketball team to see every single one of its starters get drafted by the NBA. It happens at Duke and North Carolina too.
Of course, it happens at Kentucky every season. Here are more details.
#3 Trey Burke – Jazz #10 Tim Hardaway, Jr. – Knicks #11 Nik Stauskas – Kings #1 Glenn Robinson III – T’Wolves #4 Mitch McGary – Thunder

Yes, that Twitter name is hysterical- someone’s got World Cup fever. Too bad the Michigan Wolverines didn’t close the deal to FINALLY get the Big Ten a national title. Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr. went in the very weak class of ’13 while Nik Stauskas, Mitch McGary and Glenn Robinson III were all drafted last night.
It was an impressive night for the Michigan Wolverines, but also business as usual for the Kentucky Wildcats.
It is the fifth-consecutive NBA draft that Kentucky was represented by multiple players in the first round of the draft. UK is the only program since the draft went to two rounds in 1989 to have multiple players selected in the first round in five-straight years.
Kentucky head coach John Calipari is the only coach to have multiple players selected in seven consecutive NBA drafts dating back to his time with Memphis.
