“I am Zlatan.”
That is the name of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s autobiography. He’s such an international superstar that the world is filled with others trying to capitalize off his fame. Including this lookalike, who ran onto the pitch Saturday to meet his doppelganger.
Writes ESPN FC: “One even made it past security at Old Trafford on Saturday against Leicester, but the great Swede didn’t seem too impressed with his mirror image.”
It added a moment of hilarity to a match where Manchester United walloped defending champions Leicester City 4-1.
Or as FOX Soccer headlined, the meeting of the Zlatan imposter and the real Zlatan went about as well as anyone could expect.
FOX has a decent sized gallery of photos from the meeting, which you can peruse here. The publication writes:
“This guy might look like Zlatan out in the wild, but when he’s shoulder-to-shoulder with the real thing? It’s no contest. The fake Z looks like he’s almost saying “What? You don’t recognize me?” No, trickster, he does.”
On a side note, Zlatan;s agent, Mino Raiola said that the mercurial Swede threatened to break his legs if Paul Pogba went to any team other than United.
Joking of course.
