Here we go again. More will he stay or will he go drama with Manchester United and Wayne Rooney. We’re only a couple months now from the January transfer window, and that means speculation season has begun. Speculation over whether the 27 year old striker will be secured to a new contract or not.
United believes Wayne Rooney will stay in Old Trafford.
The Daily Star is claiming that the Red Devils are confident Wayne Rooney will reject Chelsea and instead reach a new deal to remain with the defending champions.
United did not make any major moves at the summer transfer deadline, except for the metaphorical “own goal” of not letting Wayne Rooney leave for another Premier League club. Although the buying price is expected to be high, he should draw interest from several clubs with Chelsea the most likely suitor. But again, media believe he will stay put.
Of course plenty of things could change between now and then. In August it was pretty clear that Wayne Rooney was disgruntled.
