Tottenham Hotspur won big today, in a win that saw the return of Spurs striker and face of the franchise Harry Kane. Less than a month after limping off with a serious ankle injury during THFC’s 6-0 destruction of Millwall in the FA Cup quarterfinals, Kane is back. Harry Kane left White Hart Lane on crutches, in a protective boot that day leading to talk that he could miss the rest of the season at most, two months of action at least.
However he came back well ahead of schedule today, as Spurs beat Watford 4-0.
Kane, who missed two months earlier this season when he suffered an injury (damaged ligaments) in the same right ankle, came on with 30 minutes to go and hit the side of the goal on a free kick. Spurs’ scoring came from Dele Alli (33′) Eric Dier (39′) and a double bagged by Son Heung-Min (44′, 54′).
