You got to love Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal. How can you not? Here’s the YouTube of his postgame interview today following the big 2-1 “mild upset of sorts” at the Emirates. Van Gaal says his young defense “can do better” after being forced into changes following an injury to Luke Shaw (the 40th of the season for United, more detail on that here) during the victory.
Van Gaal and his side now move up to fourth in the current table, and with the win over Arsenal have advantage over the Gunner towards claiming a Champions League spot.
An own goal from Kieran Gibbs (video here) and a Wayne Rooney scoring strike (video of that here) gave United their first road win this season. Van Gaal had just said yesterday that United’s away from was “remarkable” and not in a good way. He’s right and you got to love Van Gaal for telling it like it is. Just like he does in the video below.
