Robin van Persie has now moved on to Fenerbahce after his tenure with two Premier League giant clubs, but his legacy in the English top flight still lives on. Van Persie made a name for himself at Arsenal and later Manchester United, and this April 2013 goal from his Red Devils days was certainly a sight to be seen.
This transcendent scoring strike by Van Persie was voted the best of the entire English Premier League era by anybody with at least 100 goals.
Have a look.

Wow! Sublime! The Dutch man catches the booming pass from Wayne Rooney in full stride and smashes it home. The ball doesn’t even touch the ground.
This brace was the second in a hat trick for Van Persie that day, a night that saw him and his teammates clinch their 20th league title against Aston Villa.
Van Persie claimed the award at a Legends of Football event in London celebrating 25 years of the Premier League. Van Persie said:
“It’s a huge honor. It’s the hardest league in the world.”
“On a goal like that, you don’t really think about it. You just want to make the most of it and see what happens. But you need a bit of luck as well.
“It was the first title I won and it was a huge moment for Manchester United. What I like about that goal is the whole story that was behind it.”
