Nigel de Jong could see himself move to Manchester United in January. The AC Milan midfielder has not renewed his contract, and this is one rumor that isn’t going away, and it’s going to keep gathering steam as we get closer to the winter deadline day.
Back on July 19th, Catalan newspaper Sport reported that Manchester United were close to signing AC Milan midfielder Nigel De Jong for £8 million. During the summer it was clear that Louis van Gaal wanted to make the Dutch World Cup villain a Manchester United player.
And believe me De Jong is a villain, both arms sporting sleeves of tattoos, his penchant for kicking people for fun…
Nigel de Jong would be a good fit with a hard line leader like Van Gaal to keep him in line. The stern hand of The Iron Tulip would keep it so that only Manchester United opponents and opponents fans hate him. The defensive midfielder played for Manchester City between 2009 and 2012, where he helped the Blue side of Manchester win a title.
