Manchester United target Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already confirmed that he is done at Paris Saint-Germain.
He’s played his final game with the club, and the superstar confirmed that on his own official Twitter feed a couple weeks ago. Now out of contract as the season winds down, he’s yet to confirm what his new team will be after his PSG exit.
Interest has reportedly been shown from numerous clubs all around the world, including English giants Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, in addition to United. He would also reportedly be welcomed back with open arms to his former team AC Milan.
According to an earlier ESPN FC report back in March, the 34-year-old mercurial Swede has suggested he is planning a “surprise” move should he decide to leave Paris when his contract expires next year.
Now that he has officially decided to leave the French capital, that surprise destination is….Major League Soccer; according to the same outlet on May 15th. They claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic to L.A. Galaxy was really a thing that could happen.
Not so fast though, as that was back in the Louis van Gaal era at Old Trafford.
The former Ajax, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Juventus forward does that not get along with LVG; everyone knows that. Now with Jose Mourinho waiting in the wings at the Theatre of Dreams, Ibra to Manchester could be back on. The Daily Mirror writes that the mercurial Swede “is said to have agreed a one-year deal with an option for a further year, and the move could be announced within the next 48 hours.”
We’ll see. Watch this space.
