Even though the season is over, it’s time for a Manchester United starting 11 anyway. This lineup is comprised entirely of current players who might be leaving. These are guys on the current roster rumored to be moving on. We also have a Manchester United starting 11 of transfer rumors; players who may be coming soon to Old Trafford.
And a Manchester United starting 11 of transfers that will NEVER happen.
Robin van Persie Radamel Falcao James Wilson
Angel Di Maria Juan Mata Nani
Jonny Evans Tyler Blackett Rafael Tom Thorpe
David de Gea
Ok, so Falcao is already officially gone. Mata is probably pretty safe now, but he was rumored to be leaving quite a bit during the first half of the season, and was often linked in big time swap deals. This lineup isn’t an exact science, in terms of where everyone is playing in their position here. However, it seems like there’s going to be a major overhaul at the striker position.
Javier Hernandez is coming back, and Wayne Rooney is obviously untouchable, but who else is going to play in attack if all these other guys leave?
There’s obviously no shortage of rumors regarding players coming to United, but most of them have been wingers and midfielders; not so much forwards.
