Manchester United players test drive some Chevrolets throughout the sunny boulevards of Beverly Hills, California. To quote the fictional Kent Brockman on The Simpsons, “yes, this barely qualifies as news.” I know I know. And it sort of looks like the United players are quite bored themselves. Wayne Rooney, Darren Fletcher and Michael Keane have a couple soundbites in the clip.
The Reds drove Camaros, Corvette Stingrays, stopped by the Beverly Hills fire department. Rooney said he even has a Camaro back home. Still none of the football players seemed all that lively or excited when they spoke in this video. Maybe it’s because this is just a poorly disguised commercial. Chevrolet is the new Manchester United shirt sponsor for this season. And this is not news, but product placement.
