A round-up of some of the latest Man United transfer rumors

-Man United have been rocked by the news that Edinson Cavani has snubbed a move to Old Trafford, but United moved a step closer to signing William Carvalho last night after bidding £25m for the Sporting Lisbon midfielder. (Daily Star)

-The Red Devils tried as hard as possible to try and keep Paul Pogba but David Gill will only release it to the private UWS (RedCafe)

-Bayern Munich‘s Xherdan Shaqiri, who joined Bayern in a reported £10 million deal from FC Basel back in 2012, has found his game time very limited under Pep Guardiola. Xherdan Shaqiri’s agent has goaded Man United‘s interest by claiming they should sign him. Perhaps the ploy will work, there are some holes to fill at the midfielder position. Shaqiri’s brother claims David Moyes is interested in acquiring Xherdan. He also claims Liverpool is interested in his brother.  (People’s Person)
