Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata scored the third and game-winning goal for the Red Devils yesterday at Southampton. It came at the end of a very long series of passes. The post game interview for television is claiming it was 46 passes. Sky Sports has the number at 44, while the While the Daily has the passing tally preceding the brace at 45.
The Mail also claims that it is the second most passes to facilitate a score during the past five years of Premier League play. Take a look at the footage below.

Juan Mata said after the game: “We are very sorry for Luke Shaw and this victory was for him. We are very proud that he can smile today.”
He also added that it a was very important and very special victory.
