Manchester United finally get another goal in Premier League play, just the second scoring strike credited to them on the season. Although he’s only been at United since January of 2014, Juan Mata has taken a leadership role, issuing warnings to his teammates when necessary, telling them that it’s crunch time and that they need to step up right now.
Just a few days ago, Juan Mata wrote on his blog that the goalless draw with Newcastle left him “enraged,” and with a “bad taste” in his mouth. Back in May he said Manchester United must rediscover their cutting edge in front of goal.
He said this following three straight defeats without scoring a single goal; which followed a period that saw them bang in 12 goals over their previous four matches.
Well today he scored United’s first goal, by taking a cutting edge in front of goal. Here’s the footage.

The goal made Juan Mata a top ten trending term in the United States.
