The Gareth Bale to Manchester United narrative, it’s not going away, and it seems to be get more unrealistic each and every time it’s brought up. United haven’t given up hope on bringing the 26-year-old Welsh superstar to Old Trafford from the Bernabeu, Sky Sports News reported earlier this week that the Red Devils wish to make a fresh bid for the summer transfer window closes.
However, Real Madrid will not contemplate selling Bale even if United make a world-record bid, sources have told ESPN FC.
United manager Louis Van Gaal made comments a month ago indicating that the club is ready to spend big again this summer, but it looks like a quiet end to the summer transfer window is what’s actually in store. Time is running out for another move, especially one of this magnitude.
Yes, a Gareth Bale deal would be very expensive and extremely complicated, even though United’s kit partner, Adidas, is rumored to be pushing for this deal to happen, given Bale’s status within the German sportswear company. This will be the second, or maybe even third time we’ve seen United Gareth Bale interest be in vein.
But at list this rumor had some legs, unlike the Neymar transfer gossip- that was pure crap.
