Despite his links to Valencia and the Nicolas Otamendi deal, Eliaquim Mangala is not going anywhere. Manchester City will not let Mangala leave on loan in this transfer window, sources told ESPN FC.
Manchester United and Nicolas Otamendi have been linked all summer long, but it appears that a move to the blue side of Manchester is what’s actually imminent for the Valencia defender. At least that’s what was being widely reported yesterday, with the narrative claiming he could be introduced as a member of the sky blues any day now.
Those reports also said that Mangala would be going the other way.
So much for that; at least according to ESPN FC, who’s sources say the 24-year-old central defender is staying put. Eliaquim Mangala tweeted his allegiance to club Sunday night following the Citizens huge win over Chelsea.
2 games, 2 victories, 2 clean sheet! I like it ! I am a Citizen. I never give up… #Motivated #NeverGiveUp #MCFC pic.twitter.com/vNBjaeWuAI
