Manchester United supposedly dropped out of the race for £50 million rated Uruguay star Edinson Cavani. There were conflicting reports that United were still in, but when the bid increased to £56 million, they supposedly pulled out of the race to sign the Paris Saint-Germain striker.
In July we heard that they’re back in. And now it’s rumored that United supposedly have had four different meetings to discuss the potential transfer. Those talks have been with Cavani’s entourage.
Cavani made vague open-ended comments the other day, but it they did hint that we didn’t work in last year’s system at PSG, and he’s hoping that the team changes the system this year to better accommodate him. He wants a more central role.
The Edinson Cavani on the move story line started in France, with Le10 being one of the outlets leading the narrative Then the British press followed suit. Le10 are continuing to promote this specific rumor this week.
According to the Daily Express, Edinson Cavani, demanded a wage of £300,000-a-week to move to Old Trafford. The 27-year-old joined PSG for £55million from Napoli last summer but has been forced to play second fiddle to international superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
So what will happen with Edinson Cavani? We’re waiting on Zlatan.
