It’s terrible, awful, and just plain wrong that Lauren Moyes is being victimized by the Twitterverse like this. United Manager David Moyes is getting so much heat right now that it’s now carried over to his child. The first Lauren Moyes parody account is extremely popular on social media, accruing close to 20,000 Twitter followers in just a couple months; with only 62 tweets.
The second Lauren Moyes Twitter account just started tweeting less than a week ago and it gained 8,000 followers with a body of work of only 16 tweets. Wow! Both of these fake accounts are growing very fast.
As you might have predicted, both accounts are all about Wilfried Zaha and the rumored relationship between Lauren Moyes and Zaha. Things have gotten so far out of hand that Wilfried denied the gossip on his Twitter account tweeting this.
It’s pretty awful that people are lashing out at this poor girl. What does she have to do with her father’s incompetence? Don’t go after Lauren Moyes, she’s not the one making the coaching decisions on the pitch. Don’t blame this young woman. I’m not linking the two parody accounts here because that could be misconstrued as an endorsement. And I certainly do not endorse what they’re doing.
