David Moyes made a plea to his base in the latest ’12th Man’ newsletter. The publication is sent to all Manchester United season ticket holders and it contains an open letter from their extremely embattled manager. David Moyes has been on the hot seat all season long as United is in 7th place the Premier League, and out of contention for the FA and League Cups.
And one match away from being eliminated from Champions League too.
It’s got to be very tough for David Moyes, he constantly has to hear rumors about his own sacking everyday. Well, Moyes made a PR offensive by requesting support from the fans and stating that he believes all will be right in the end.
In the open letter from David Moyes, he said:
“While I knew that this job would be a challenge when I took it on, the difficult season we have experienced was not something that I envisaged, which I am sure is the case as well for you supporters – and my players, staff and I are desperate to compensate for that.”
“Everywhere we turn, people outside the club have a lot to say about Manchester United, but we have all stuck together through some tough times this season and I firmly believe that, in the long run, we will all come out the other end, stronger for the experiences.”
