Time for your daily David de Gea and Sergio Ramos updates. It’s a a never ending soap opera like Arturo Vidal was last summer. Will De Gea stay at Manchester United, or move to Real Madrid? Same question regarding Ramos (just reverse the teams). The two players’ potential transfer moves, if and when they actually happen, are somewhat inter-twined now.
This storyline could potentially last till the end of the transfer window.
Manchester United have released their official video promoting their upcoming preseason tour in the United States, and David De Gea is featured in it. You can see him a couple times in the video embedded below. Their first match, versus Club America, takes place on the west coast of the U.S. and it’s just ten days away.
De Gea re-joined the team for the start of training camp yesterday, and until we hear definitively otherwise, you can reasonably expect him to be with the team for that first preseason friendly.
And keeping along those lines, Sergio Ramos is also featured in a newly released promotional video for his club.
You can see him below in the embedded vid, Real Madrid’s new kit promo. (hat tip Mirror)
In terms of daily transfer gossip related to De Gea, the Daily Mirror has a story today stating that Louis van Gaal has told David de Gea to focus on Manchester United, not Real Madrid, despite the goalkeeper’s desire to return to Spain. Also, The Sun is claiming that Real Madrid’s current starting goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, has agreed to join Porto, and if that’s true, would obviously, in theory open the door for De Gea to move to the Spanish capital.
The Daily Mail also ran a similar story today.
