Supposedly, David de Gea is ready to hand Manchester United a massive boost by signing a new two-year deal worth around £20 million. De Gea is reportedly set to snub Real Madrid‘s interest. The report originated with The Sun, but now all the newspapers and various media outlets on top of that are all picking it up.
Some outlets are reporting the figure as £200,000 a week. If this deal gets done, it would bring the Red Devils a sense of closure and comfort that would give the club some good vibes. Some good feelings are certainly in order given that United have lost three in a row and haven’t even scored a goal in the last three games.
The David de Gea transfer rumors have persisted all season long as the idea of the Spaniard returning home and supplanting current Los Blancos #1 Iker Casillas has been a major talking point in global media during 2014-15.
David de Gea took over Casillas role as the #1 on the Spanish National Team, and it’s been thought that #DaveSaves would follow suit with the blue chip club in La Liga. It looks like it’s not the cards though, and United fans can breathe a sense of relief.
