Cesc Fabregas. Yes, you’ve heard this story before. Cesc Fabregas has been a Manchester United target before. He’s been linked to the club in rumors and gossip many a time in many a transfer rumors column.

Well, remember that £200 million war chest David Moyes is supposed to get to work with this summer?

United will once again look to tempt Barcelona into selling midfielder Cesc Fabregas by offering €50m (£41m) for the Spanish international according to VozPopuli.

As this site wrote in the summer, regarding the summer interest in Cesc Fabregas:

Not only is the player’s love and desire to play for his boyhood club expected to create impediment for this potential move, but also a smartly inserted clause in his contract by his ex-manager, Arsene Wenger, could scupper United’s chances of signing this hugely talented midfielder. The Gunners have a buy-back clause in his contract and will be offered first refusal should FCB decide to offload the player.

One must also consider that this FCB outfit is undergoing a significant transition in the Post-Guardiola era. They’ve just lost their coach to a medical condition and may not want to lose a key midfielder in such difficult times. Should United’s second bid for Fabregas fail, they must consider other options in Europe while there is still plenty of time left in the transfer window.

  1. Oh my god are we going to have to go through this farce again, and every year until Moyes gets sacked? Talk about not learning from your mistakes. Then again that about sums him up. Not learnt from mistakes all season long. This is so depressing
