Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has opened up to the publications produced and distributed by Old Trafford. In a revealing interview with the club’s web channel, MUTV, he articulated who his football role models were growing up.
The French youngster gave his overall thoughts on the season to the club’s official magazine as well.
“The team’s results haven’t been of the standard we’d have hoped for,” the 20 year old attacking presence told Inside United.
“But from now on I hope that we can quickly get back into the top three,” the £36 million man continued.
That could be a stretch given how the odds are against them. The latest Soccer Power Index, by ESPN FC gives them just a 15% chance of making top four.
Anthony Martial has certainly done his part though. He’s one of the few outfield players who have impressed for United this season, and the transfer deadline day signing hopes to bring home some silverware soon to Old Trafford.
“I am very determined [to win something]. The key thing is that it is all about winning, so I hope I can be lifting some trophies as soon as possible,” he said.
