Harry Kane, the young star striker, England international and Tottenham Hotspur franchise cornerstone said last week that he recharged his battery while on winter break. The goal scoring machine said he feels like himself again, and it certainly showed as Kane scored twice for Spurs in Tuesday’s win over Norwich City.
His manager, Mauricio Pochettino, recognizes that Harry Kane is among the best young scoring forwards in the game today.
Pochettino sees Harry Kane on the same level as Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
“Today Vardy and Kane show big quality and the same quality as Aguero,” Pochettino said.
“They are all different and come from different circumstances but if today we speak about Aguero, Vardy or Kane they are some of the best goal scorers in the world. We can’t hide that.”
Kane’s two goals on Tuesday moved him to second in the individual scoring table, tied with Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and 15. Vardy leads with 18. Watford’s Odion Ighalo is fourth with 14. Aguero is fifth with 13, but he’s had an injury shortened season.
