French striker Loic Remy will reportedly fly to the United States to undergo a medical ahead of his proposed move to Liverpool. So it looks like the deal is done now. The Reds are believed to have met Queens Park Rangers’ release clause in a bid to bring him to Anfield this summer.
He will join the team in Boston, Massachusetts as they prepare to take on AS Roma at Fenway Park in a couple days. The ballpark is home to the Boston Red Sox who are share the same ownership with Liverpool.
Remy’s name had also been linked to Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. The Spurs had been in talks with the 27-year-old French international for some time and supposedly had a deal in place ahead of a release clause-triggering £9 million offer. Other reports say his Loftus Road contract allows him to leave for £10 million and Loic Remy would join Rickie Lambert, Emre Can, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic as new purchases by Brendan Rodgers this summer.
