Liverpool got back to its winning ways on Wednesday with a 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough. Next up is the Merseyside Derby against Everton.
Jurgen Klopp benched Loris Karius midweek, and Simon Mignolet made the most of his chance with a shutout that included a couple of nice saves in the first half. Mignolet should keep his place on Monday.

Joel Matip missed on Wednesday with the ankle injury that has been bothering him much of the season. While it isn’t thought to be serious, he should sit again on Monday. He is too important to Liverpool the rest of the season to make the injury worse. Ragnar Klavan filled in on Wednesday and did well, and should get the start again with normal starters Clyne, Lovren and Milner.
Emre Can has missed the past two games after suffering a knock to the knee in training, but there is a chance he could be available on Monday. Liverpool may be hesitant to start a player coming off an injury in the Derby however, as it is the fixture that features more red cards than any other. Adam Lallana has been unbelievably good since returning from injury and Jordan Henderson will anchor the mids.
The Liverpool’s attack was a thing of beauty against Middlesbrough. Divock Origi has scored 5 in 5 and will lead the line again. Firmino and Mane will flank on either side. Daniel Sturridge possibly could return against Everton, but should start on the bench.
They’ll need all hands on deck to make a run at Chelsea for the Premier League title, which can be realistic when the Reds are healthy an in top form.
