Previous Chelsea target Lazar Markovic recently signed with Liverpool. In his first game with the team, a preseason friendly that they won 1-nil he made a shot on goal that was….well, that’s why it’s preseason. Things like this happen. Markovic had an errant kick that left the pitch and he bounced the ball so perfectly off the back of a security guard’s head at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Markovic, who previously plays for Primeira Liga side Benfica and the Serbia national football team as a striker and winger was described by Andrea Stramaccioni as a player with exceptional qualities and impressive acceleration.
Markovic and company currently sit a top the Group B standings in the International Champions Cup table with 5 points. Manchester City is right behind them with 4. If the Reds win their final Champions Cup friendly versus AC Milan on Saturday, they could very likely face their hated rivals Manchester United in the title game.
The Red Devils currently lead the group B standings.
