As the January transfer window continues to draw ever so closer, transfer talk heats up. Liverpool have found their leader in Jurgen Klopp, now it’s time for him, and the rest of management rebuild the club into players suited to Klopp’s system. A big reason for Brendan Rodgers’ failings and his ultimate sacking, was that he had a few bad transfer windows.
Then there is of course the issue with the so-called Liverpool transfer committee that we’ve heard so much about in recent years.
Well, it was later revealed that the buck stops with the manager, so it will Klopp’s Kop; or at least the players who come to Kop will get there only Klopp approves The Sunday tabloids are all about LFC today.
According to the Mail on Sunday, “Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking for the next Robert Lewandowski-style bargain in the January transfer window.”
The Sunday Sun says “Jurgen Klopp wants £20 million Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland as Simon Mignolet’s Liverpool replacement.”
People check in with “Liverpool and Everton are ready for a transfer tug-of-war over Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland.”
The Sunday Express offered this: “Jurgen Klopp has revealed that there is no agreement in place prohibiting the Liverpool boss from raiding former club Borussia Dortmund.”
The Same publication also put this one out there: “Liverpool have joined the chase for £7m-rated German goalkeeper Loris Karius from Mainz.”
Taking the Jurgen Klopp is interested in raiding BVB angle, and giving it more detail, the Sunday Daily Star published “Jurgen Klopp is considering going back to Borussia Dortmund with a £56 million bid for Marco Reus and Mats Hummels.”
That last one is certainly a bold claim, we’ll see if any of these come to fruition or not. In the meantime, they’re always interesting and entertaining.
