Reds supporters, we know it’s summer, and the regular season doesn’t start until August 17th. Luckily I have your Premier League fix. I took lots of footage of Liverpool training in Chicago today at Soldier Field (view it, watch it here). There were a few hundred supporters of The Reds watching and at certain moments, cheering wildly.
Tomorrow night Liverpool takes on Greek Champion Olympiacos in the International Champions Cup. Brendan Rodgers and Brad Jones met the media and discussed a whole lot of Liverpool FC related topics (have a listen after the jump)
Brendan Rodgers is usually a very good soundbite. Usually, he says enough that he gives the media something to work with, but doesn’t say too much that would raise the ire of the club. Of course, he doesn’t talk about the names of transfers until they’ve signed with the club. There was some transfer questions. First query was about Adam Lallana, as you would expect.
I asked about how the three new additions that are currently healthy: Lazar Markovic, Emre Can and Rickie Lambert. Julie Stewart-Binks of Fox Sports was there, and asked a good question. There was talk of life after Luis Suarez too.
