Rough times indeed for quarterback Andrew Luck, Chuck Pagano and the rest of the Indianapolis Colts. Pagano could be sacked any day now, but there’s lot of blame to spread around when it comes to the Colts woes. Likewise with Luck. He’s had problems, but to place all the fault with him is to be rather misguided.
It turns out Andrew Luck has been playing with an additional injury on top of the one that we already knew about.
Jay Glazer reported on Fox NFL Sunday that in addition to a lingering shoulder injury, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has been playing with fractured ribs since Week 3. Glazer on Luck:
“Andrew Luck, this entire time, has been fighting through multiple fractured ribs. These injuries actually happened around the same time he hurt his shoulder. The Colts have said, ‘Well the shoulder is better.’ Obviously, there has been something else wrong with him. I’m told some of his teammates didn’t even know about the injuries.”
At least Luck has some great Civil War era facial hair on his side. CBS Sports Network’s morning preview show also discussed the Colts franchise QB.

CHRIS SIMMS: “Has the play been as good? Certainly not. We all understand that. Is he healthy? Probably not. Why is the whole NFL media world looking at Andrew Luck when there are so many holes on that team? I checked the NFL rule book. The defense is allowed to stop people in Indianapolis. It’s the worst defense in football. You have to look at the coaches and the front office. I’m sick of hearing all of the talk about Andrew Luck. He’s been carrying that organization for three years. It’s time they helped him out a little bit.”
So many problems for Andrew Luck and Chuck Pagano to deal with right now. Pagano may not survive the season, as the Colts have fallen from AFC finalist to one of the worst teams in football. Of course, it certainly helps the Colts that they play in the NFL’s sorriest division.
