Yeah, Illinois went to Purdue and lost by 10 -- and covered the spread. I was actually pretty happy with some things...I thought Charest didn't look awful, and I thought the defense was...well, they were adequate at times. Which is a lot better than they had been, that's for certain.

More than that though, I was shell-shocked after watching that Bears first half...I can't remember a Bears team I've watched playing a game and simply giving up or looking completely uninterested in playing...but that was what happened on Sunday...

But this was much worse for the Bears because they came in with a winning record, and hope. They still had something to play for this season, vs. Illiniois which is such a train wreck. they gave up on the season awhile ago. and anyone paying attention knew they were certainly pathetic by the start of this month. And their play on the field indicates they've given up on themselves as well.

I would agree that this weekend was much worse for the Bears than it was for the Illini. I knew Tommie Harris wasn't really healthy- despite what the Bears told us. God damn I hate the Bears PR (police resistance) department. not only do they withhold info, they flat out lied! ANd since Lovie has no one else to play for a now washed up Tommie Harris that DL is in real trouble, therefore so are the Bears. The LB corp is banged up beyond recognition and the DBs f#%king suck even when they're healthy
